What will I be doing?
- Providing CT treatments (patients, carers and bereaved carers) following St Mary’s policies and guidelines
- Taking equal responsibility for the daily running of the CT service, including housekeeping, laundry, stock control etc.
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Manage an agreed caseload (with senior therapist mentor/supervisor) of patients/clients
- Make appropriate contact with patients/clients to arrange appointments
- Offering support/CT to patients/clients whilst recognising the need to refer back or signpost to other health professionals
- Understanding of and adherence to the relevant professional body code of ethics
- Use only St Mary’s CT products, equipment and provide therapies as agreed
- Maintain accurate written completion of patient/client notes and CT documentation
- Understanding of the contraindications or precautions in giving a therapy and able to adjust accordingly
- Taking responsibility for own safety and adhering to lone working safety standards and CT policies and procedures
- As a member of the CT team, working with other health professionals in the multi-disciplinary team
What qualifications do I need?
- Qualified practitioners that are recognised by their relevant governing body
- Be registered with the relevant professional body for their therapy and abide by its rules, regulations and code of conduct.
- Preferably 2 years’ experience of working regularly and professionally with the general public
- Current insurance
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Full Driving Licence
- Therapy Tunic (preferably white)
