Lynn joined the St Marys Hospice online bereavement group over 12 months ago following the very sudden and sad loss of her sister who was aged 49.
Lynn explains-
I found out about the group from my hospice bereavement support worker. I have found the group extremely helpful especially in the early days and months of my bereavement journey. It was really helpful to chat with others online who were in a similar position as myself. I found weekend and evenings particularly difficult and being able to find support through the online group made such a difference.
The group has grown in numbers and I regularly attend the monthly coffee evenings at the hospice. It is lovely to chat face to face with those I have talked to online who I now consider my friends. With the support of the online group, staff and volunteers at the hospice I have found the strength to remember with love rather than sadness.
