No Barriers Here uses a model that adopts a public health approach to palliative care, working alongside communities who experience systematic differences and inequality in accessing palliative and end-of-life care and challenging the barriers that organizations often create.
No Barriers Here offers an alternative approach to advanced care planning conversations about future care through the use of Art and creativity. It enables people the opportunity to think about and discuss their choices and wishes for how they live and the end of their lives. Often, discussions about planning ahead happen once a person is referred to palliative care services or considered to be in the final 12 months of life. No Barrier Here proactively encourages early conversations within communities, particularly those who experience inequality and systematic barriers to accessing palliative and end-of-life care services.
