Louise Tucker won ‘Love Barrow’s’ apprentice of the year award. She said “I feel amazing, it’s been nice that people appreciate what I’ve done and how far I’ve come”.
Louise started at St Mary’s Hospice as a clinical apprentice. Working with our In-Patient Unit team she has shown motivation, commitment and support in her role. Louise is known for her enthusiasm, care and kindness throughout the hospice and we are extremely proud to see her win this award.
Love Barrow describe the awards as:
‘The Trainee or Apprentice of the Year Award is a chance for employers to let their team members know how much they are valued and appreciated. The award to open to anyone that is currently on a training scheme, apprenticeship, any kind of internal training programme or is simply new to their job and is in their training period. The person must have shown exceptional skills and attitude alongside their training, above and beyond what you would expect.’
Louise has certainly shown exceptional skills and she has now gone on to become a Health Care Assistant with St Mary’s.
