National Volunteers week is when we stop and take the time to say a special thank you to all those who give their time to help and support others.
Never has there been a more important time to do it. Thousands of people have become volunteers
during the pandemic. THANK YOU, all of you who have made a difference to someone, giving your time and energies, seeing them smile as a result. Volunteering makes such a difference to others and to yourself.
At the start of the pandemic all our hospice volunteers were stood down, and we know they have been missing their weekly volunteer fix. We are now looking, optimistically, to slowly start to reopen areas such as shops and get our volunteers involved once again there and in other areas, but only when we feel it is safe to do so.
We value every volunteer we have, they are an integral part of the St Mary’s team and without so many we couldn’t do as much. We will need lots of help and support in the coming months so if you have been inspired in recent months come and join us. Please register your interest at volunteers@stmaryshospice.org.uk
