The Charity Governance Awards is an exciting not-for-profit initiative created to celebrate outstanding governance and trusteeship in charities across the UK, allowing large and small not-for-profit organisations to inspire and learn from one another.
Charity Governance Awards: “We all know that effective governance makes a difference. By sharing examples of inspirational trustees and brilliant boards we want to show how good governance and doing good go hand-in-hand. Today, third sector governance is a subject never far from the news. Yet we know that the headlines don’t tell the whole story. That’s why our charity awards are exclusively dedicated to charity governance and trusteeship. By shining a spotlight on the best of the non-profit sector, we want to demonstrate how effective governance can transform a charity and – more importantly – the lives of its beneficiaries. Winners Revealed in Virtual Ceremony on 21 May 2020.”
We are delighted to share that the shortlist has been released! And we are on it! With the winners will be announced on 21 May 2020 across social media.
“Whilst our communities – and the charities that support them – are facing unprecedented challenges at this time, we hope that we can share the stories of your many successes and inspirational trustees to raise the bar of charity governance now and in the future.”
Sarah Simpson, St Mary’s Marketing Manager: “St Mary’s has a brilliant team of staff and volunteers including our Trustees who work hard to ensure the hospice is in safe hands. We will be following and sharing the award updates! It is a real achievement to be nominated. And shines a light on people working hard behind the scenes too. All who work together and make St Mary’s Hospice the special place it is in our community.”
